Gstaad, located in the stunning alpine scenery in the German-speaking part of the Canton of Bern in southwestern Switzerland, is not only known for its popularity among the high society, but also for its tourist attractions. The city, which has a very laid-back atmosphere, has a population of about 7,600 and is located 1,050 metres (3,445 feet) above sea level. Moreover, Gstaad is host to various top events, among them the FIVB Beach Volleyball Grand Slam, which has been held there since 2000. As part of the Beach Volleyball Major Series in 2019, Gstaad will for sure prove to be – as always – a terrific host city for the international Beach Volleyball elite.
